Violeta West

Raised in a family who believes that education is the best inheritance parents can leave their children, I was compelled to finish college. Once I received my nursing degree, I found myself wanting to learn more and more. To me, finishing a degree makes me realize that I don’t know enough, stimulating me to keep on learning.

Working for over 35 years as an intensive care nurse opened up a desire within me to learn more about healing the natural way. I have basically surrounded myself with natural stuff. I have incorporated experimenting, sharing and teaching on natural resources into my daily practice to promote health. My Theology degree opened my heart so wide to the needs of humanity that I do mission work and maintained a local TV show on Healing Today. I have downloaded a number of these on YouTube under the name nurse minister. I have learned so much from a number of professors. What I know now is a compilation from all the great teachers God had given me while studying on almost every subject on health. Natural healing subjects are my favorites. I feel like I’m at a kindergarten level as far as knowledge is concerned whenever I am confronted with a wealth of new information. I am captivated with the idea of learning more and being able to help others improve and maintain their health.

Knowing God is my most valuable experience, and I am driven to share His love with every person I know, especially those who are in need of physical, mental and/or spiritual health. I have personally done seminars and formal group teaching, offered home study and Bible study in the last 30 years. My TV show on Healing Today was going well for several years until COVD 19 hit. Then everything sort of closed down.

These are all charitable works inspired by God. I have also opened a kindergarten school in the Philippines that I managed on a long distance basis through my husband’s ministry, Rapha International.  Again, this was done for charitable cause. I helped a college schoolmate establish a monthly medical mission in her hometown, providing her with much needed basic medical tools and educational materials. I also supported 21 young kids in the Philippines to help them finish their schooling.

I was able to offer the first college credited course on Domestic Violence here in Florida. This was in 1997 when people were so resistant to accept the truth about Domestic Violence. Ministers did not believe that they needed a course in Domestic Violence. Many of them came back expressing gratitude for making Domestic Violence a requirement because they said they would never have known the truth and consequently would not have been able to help set some of their members free from an abusive relationship. There were a number of them, however who were remorseful because church members ended up being killed by their mates.

God has given me so much that it just has to come out. Love, peace and joy come as daily provisions from the Almighty that money cannot buy. I treasure that so much and I would like others to experience that as well.

In spite of all the degrees after my name, I realized that the people I want to reach out are not willing to take my advice. They trust the medical doctors for all their health needs. They seldom question the prescriptions of medical doctors. The fact remains that there are a number of people out there who will benefit more from traditional natural therapy when given the opportunity. I thought everything would be easy after I finished a doctoral degree in Natural Medicine. I can help more people and provide them with the opportunity or choice to improve and maintain their health in a more productive way of living based on God’s principles.  Not quite. It is an ongoing process of reaching out to those who are searching to improve their health and quality of life.
